I visited Catalina Island for the first time last week! Took the helicopter from Long Beach to Avalon then a short cab ride to our hotel, the Atwater. Within walking distance is a Vons Market that has everything you need at an affordable cost. Easy way to stock up on snacks and drinks for the trip!

There is so much to do in Catalina. We rented a golf cart and explored the town's views and unique architecture. There is so much fun history about how the town came to be, change of ownership and different visions of what to do with it. It's quite amazing. We also had the opportunity to go kayaking which I would highly recommend to see the island from the protected waters.

Everyday we tried a different restaurant and the food was overall delicious. Some places had fresh caught fish and others had classic fan favorite's like steak, burgers and tacos. Lastly we took a swing at the Catalina Country Club, a fun 9 hole course with bridges and bunkers nestled in the valley of Avalon. All in all, Catalina was a fun and needed getaway and I would highly recommend checking it out.

Market Report for Arroyo Grande. We are still seeing very few homes come on the market, and those that do are typically only available for about a week.
